Tuath Housing was proud to officially open the new community room at Foxwood Barn this week.

The community room is a dedicated space where residents of Foxwood Barn in Citywest, Dublin will be able to gather; promoting inclusion and community spirit in this new development.

Residents have been at the centre of this project from the outset.

“We carried out a community consultation on the design of the space,” said Sinead Gallagher, Community Engagement Officer with Tuath Housing.

“Residents were surveyed on how they would like the space to be laid out and to offer ideas on how it should be used going forward.”

After three months of collaboration, Tuath’s Housing and Community Engagement teams welcomed residents in for the launch of the room this week.

Guests young and old had the chance to get to know their neighbours and enjoyed face-painting, dancing, arts and crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

“We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation here at Foxwood Barn, working closely with residents to build community spirit,” said Sinead.
