TUATH’S GENDER PAY GAP REPORT 2025

Tuath Housing has published its Gender Pay Gap (GPG) Report for 2025.

What is a pay gap?

A pay gap is the difference in average pay between two groups (e.g., men and women), regardless of job role or seniority. The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 requires employers to report their GPG each year, along with the measures being taken to reduce it. The Gender Pay Gap differs from Equal Pay legislation, which makes it unlawful to pay one group less than the other for equal work.

In the context of this report, the mean GPG refers to the difference in average hourly pay of women and men, while the median GPG refers to the difference in hourly pay of the middle-earning woman and the middle-earning man.

Our results

Tuath’s mean hourly GPG is 7.62%, and our median hourly GPG is 1.82%.

These figures are among the lowest when compared with similar charities and private organisations in the housing sector and are below both the national average (8.6%) and the sectoral average (21%).

We are proud of our results in relation to our sector, while remaining committed to working to further reduce the gap.

How we are addressing the GPG

Tuath is taking a comprehensive, long-term approach to reducing our gender pay gap by embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across the organisation.

Guided by our EDI Statement, we run awareness events, provide training on unconscious bias and cultural awareness, use inclusive language across our policies and communications, and actively listen to colleagues’ lived experiences. We have also achieved Silver accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity in recognition of our strong EDI practices. In addition, our suite of supportive policies—including enhanced family-related leave and a wide range of wellbeing supports—helps to create an inclusive culture where all employees can thrive.
