We at Tuath Housing Association take personal privacy very seriously and take steps to ensure that your data is used and stored in a secure manner.

This statement explains how we use your data and what rights you have in relation to your personal information.

This Privacy Statement should be read in conjunction with the Tenancy Agreement/Employee Handbook/Contract.      

1.     Who we are

We are Tuath Housing Association and throughout this Privacy Statement ‘we’, ‘us’. ‘our’, and ‘ours’ refers to Tuath Housing Association. For more information about us, see our website at www.tuathhousing.com

Tuath is a not-for-profit company and an Approved Housing Association.

 

2.     The information we collect about you

In order that we may provide you with our services, we will collect and hold personal information, including:

  • Data to identify you, including contact details;
  • Your financial details and financial circumstances:
  • Your marital status;
  • Information about you provided to us by others;
  • Information which you have consented to us using;
  • CCTV images, photographic ID, telephone recordings; and
  • Other information such as: criminal conviction data, health/medical information relevant to the safe provision of housing.

We will only ask for personal data that is appropriate to proving you with a service. If you do not provide this information, we may not be in a position to deal fully with your request.

We use and share your data where:

  • Use is required in relation to a service or a contract you have entered into;
  • Use is necessary because we have to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. complying with, and reporting to regulatory authorities and law enforcement);
  • Use is necessary to protect your ‘vital interests’ in certain circumstances;
  • Use is for our ‘legitimate interests, such as managing our business;

To enable us to provide the best possible service, we may use your personal data for the purposes of market research; and get your feedback on how we can improve our services to you.

 

4.     How we keep your information safe

We know that you care about how your information is used, stored, and shared. We take appropriate measures that comply with Irish Law. Our IT systems meet international standards of security as part of our Information Security Policy. Physical file storage is subject to safeguards, such as secure premises and filing systems.

 

5.     Use of third parties

In order that we may provide you with our services we may share your information with:

  • Your authorised representatives;
  • Third parties with whom:
    • we need to share your information to facilitate maintenance of our properties; and
    • you ask us to share your information;
  • Service providers who provide us with support services;
  • Statutory and regulatory bodies;
  • Third parties in relation to the sale or purchase of assets;
  • Business partners.

Where Tuath shares your personal data with third parties, this is done under strict conditions to ensure compliance with your rights and includes requirements regarding the deletion of data when no longer required for the purpose for which it was given.
