Killane Court is a 27-home scheme consisting of 2 no. 2 Bed Bungalows, 3 no. 2 Bed Mid Terrace Units, 4 no. 3 Bed Semi Detached Units 10 no. 3 Bed End Terrace Units and 8 no. 3 Bed Mid Terrace Units. These new homes are a mix of general needs and special needs housing and have been built following the principles of community inclusion family homes.
The greenfield site was in the ownership of Offaly County Council, which was then purchased by Tuath and developed under traditional construction with the procurement of a Design Team and Contractor. All 27 homes have been allocated to people from the Offaly County Council Housing waiting list.
Killane Court funded via private finance from the Housing Finance Agency and a loan from the Department of Housing at a total all in Cost €4,714,524, representing excellent value for money at an average cost per unit at €174k.
